​1. CATEGORIES​
Any student delegate of AdSpeak 2013 may submit an entry to the student competition.

An entry is a qualified public service advertisement (PSA) that will be judged in two (2) competitive divisions:
A. Values Advertising Awards: These PSAs will be scored by a selected panel of judges coming from the advertising industry.
B. Students Choice Awards: These PSAs will be judged by students coming from various colleges and universities.


Each entry automatically gets the chance to compete in both divisions.

Entries may be entered in the following categories:
   A. Best in Print
   B. Best in Radio
   C. Best in TV
   D. Best Campaign*

   E. Best Digital

*Must comprise of at least three (3) individual pieces in a Single Medium Campaign (Print or Radio
or Television) or Multi-media Campaign (a combination of Print/Radio/TV ads).  Ads in a campaign
can no longer compete individually (Campaign Category only).

 

2. ELIGIBILITY
To qualify, an entry should reflect any of these seven (7) positive values:
   A. Love of God and respect for religious beliefs.
   B. Commitment to truth, honesty and justice.
   C. Love of country and respect for national customs and traditions.
   D. Reverence for family unity and the inviolability of marriage.
   E. Respect and care for human life and the dignity and the rights of all.
   F. Respect for law and authority and the promotion of self discipline.
   G. Concern for and preservation of the environment.
An entry must be submitted by an individual or a group with a maximum of three (3) members.

3.  PSA SPECIFICATIONS
   A. Print Category
            - Entry must be in a clean compre form and digitally printed.
            - Print size must be on A3 size paper.
            - The print PSA must be mounted on an illustration board.
            - Entry must be accompanied by an entry form*

            - Entries must be provided with a soft copy, jpeg format, on a standard CD. There should
              only be one entry per CD.              
            - The CD cover must contain a thumbnail of the Print PSA as well as the Student/Group  
              Name, Ad Title, Category and School.


     B. Radio Category
            - Length must be a minimum of 30 seconds and a maximum of 60 seconds.
            - Entry must be contained in two (2) CDs with only one entry per CD. 
           - Entry must be accompanied by an entry form*

           - The CD cover must be clearly identified with the Student/Group Name,
             Ad Title, Category, Ad Length and School.
          
      C. TV Category
            - Length must be a minimum of 30 seconds and a maximum of 60 seconds.
            - TVC must be in avi or mpg format.
            - avi/mpg files must be contained in two (2) DVDs with only one entry per DVD.
            - Entry must be accompanied by an entry form*

            - The DVD cover must be clearly identified with the Student/Group Name,
             Ad Title, Category, Ad Length and School.


     D. Campaign Category
            - Same as above, but all individual ads must be contained in each CD (for
              Print and Radio PSA Campaign) and each DVD (for TV PSA Campaign).

     E. Digital Category (NEW!)
           - Must be in full animated video
           - Must be in avi or mpg format
           - Must have a video documentation of the actual entry
           - Length must be a minimum of 30 seconds and a maximum of 60 seconds
           - Files must be contained in two (2) DVDs with only one entry per DVD
           - The DVD cover must be clearly identified with the student / group name, ad title,
             category, ad length and school
          - Must be accompanied by an Endorsement Letter from the delegate’s professor
          - Entry must be accompanied by an entry form*

4. SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES

* Deadline for submission of entries is on January 28, 2013.
          
Creative materials must be submitted to Colegio de San Juan de Letrans Institute of
Communication at 151 Muralla St., Intramuros, Manila. For inquiries, contact Ms. Rowena

5. CRITERIA FOR JUDGING
   A. Values Message (50%) - Does the PSA present a timeless or relevant value? Will it have a strong,
positive impact on society?

   B. Creative Excellence (50%) - Does the execution present the message from a fresh, new insight
or perspective? Does it have a compelling effect? Does it have the appropriate craftsmanship
and production values?

        a. Creativity and Originality (30%)
        b. Editing (30%)
        c. Values (40%)



​6. JUDGING SYSTEM
- There shall be two (2) sets of panels for: a) Preliminary Judging and b) Final Judging.
-For AdSpeak Values Advertising Awards, only advertising practitioners will be tapped for both
Preliminary and Final Judging. For Students Choice Awards, selected students from various
schools will be participating in the Preliminary Judging while AdSpeak 2013 student delegates will
choose the winners in the Final Judging.
-In the Preliminary screening, entries will be shortlisted to the Top 10 scorers for each category. In
the final round, the panel of judges will select the winners from the shortlisted PSAs in each
category.
-To avoid biases, entries will only be identified through assigned numbers in both Preliminary and
Final Judging.
- The entry with the highest average score for each category wins the contest.
- Judges decisions are final.
- Winners will be announced and awarded at the culmination AdSpeak 2013 student competition
on February 8, 2013.
